The transfer

For a start, I ran out of ideas to what topic best suit this entry. 'The Transfer' seems a bit legit. But heck, it's what I'll be talking about anyway.

1989. Technically, I was born in Kuala Lumpur. At 6 months old, my dad was transferred to Kota, Kinabalu, Sabah. (Hey ho..my first flight experience ya'll). We were there for 3 years. (There's nothing much to remember here, I was too little). But here's where I got my lil brother,.

1992. My dad transferred back to Kuala Lumpur HQ. Here I went to Tadika Little Prince, a Chinese kindergarten in my neighborhood. Later, I got my lil sister.

1995. My dad again had to transfer. This time, to Taipei, Taiwan. Here, I went to Taipei British School (TBS). But before I was accepted as a student, I had to undergo an interview, for them to see the extent of my English capabilities (my first interview ever!) And yayy, I passed! Being surrounded by other expatriates from all over the world, I had language barriers at first. I wasn't fluent in English. Thank goodness there was another Malay in class. She's also a Malaysian. So in class, I'd speak Malay with her. However, Mrs Bhogal (class teacher) didn't like it. She wanted us to speak full-time English. So whenever we wanted to speak Malay, we'd speak in a low-tone voice. In TBS, there is an English as a Second Language (ESL) class for new students who weren't fluent in English..like me. I didn't suck in English, just not fluent enough. But that was only for the first semester. Then after summer break, I got more confident. I can now speak better English. I started joining clubs in school; Brownies Guide, arts and crafts and Cantonese language classes. The difference in subjects that I have here compared to Malaysian government primary school is, we have Mandarin class, French class, Drama class, History, Geography and IT. Just no Religious Studies, Kemahiran Hidup and Bahasa Malaysia. In short, I was here for 4 years and a half. And I have now completed my primary school level. I'll be in middle school by next semester!

2000. Back in Kuala Lumpur. And no, I am not a middle school student. I am a Year 5 student. Why? Cuz in TBS, if you're 7 years old, you're already in Year 2. So I managed to complete Year 6 in June 2000. Returning back to Malaysia, students my age is in Year 5, so there I was back in Year 5, for the second time. I registered into SK Taman Muda. Again, I had language barriers. This time, I was poor in Malay. I can speak well, but sucks in writing. And I was only there for two weeks, and there was the mid-year exam. Urghhh. Hint to how poor my Malay writing is, I'd spell according to the pronunciation. (e.g Saya Suka Main Bola is spelled as Saye Suke Mayin Bola). This is true story. Maybe I should go rummaging to old boxes and find the papers for proof after this). Few weeks later, the result! I was slightly panicking. Well it's done. Opening my report card, English = A! The rest of the subjects? Red..red...red...red...red...red...red. (Shame on me). How am I to face next years' UPSR? So technically, I had one year to prepare myself for UPSR. And proud as I may, my Malay (writing) subject is an A! Okay this, I've no idea how. Too good to be true. After primary school, I went to SMK Pandan Indah. The school was big. I wasn't active here. I just had several close friends.

2004. After PMR, again, we moved to Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. Here, I went to SMK Likas. Much a smaller school. And again, language barriers. My brother, sister and I were the only students from the Peninsular. It was hard to speak to the Sabahan at first. They spoke fast and sooo... Sabahan. I sometimes had them repeat in a slower version. And some even made fun of me, "Namerrr awak saperrrr?". But they were very friendly. I didn't feel abandoned. Later, I was selected to be part of the school's Invention team. And I was the only girl in the group. But the guys were my friends anyway. I had a fun time in this school. After SPM, I furthered my studies in UiTM Sabah.

2008. My father was transferred to Labuan. And literally, it was him alone. My mother was working in KK, and she couldn't afford to take an unpaid leave for few years just to follow my dad. So my parents sacrificed for the sake of their children. My dad in Labuan, and my mom in KK. My brother stayed in SMK Likas' hostel, and my sister in MRSM Kinarut. Whilst I, was in UiTM's college. So ya see, technically, the five of us lived apart. However, we'd go home every weekend. It's either my dad will come back to our KK house, or we'd go to our Labuan's house.

2011. After completing my Diploma, I furthered my study to UiTM Terengganu.

2012. Am doing my Internship programme in Kuala Lumpur for 5 months now. Anyway, this December will be our 8th year in Sabah. But somehow, my dad has already received an offer letter to transfer. And this time, not sure where. But what's obvious, not in Borneo. Cuz there's no vacancy available. (Can I dream big that he'll transfer overseas? Please help me say Aminnnn.... *dream big*). Well maybe, that won't happen again. We had our chance already. And I'm almost completing my Bachelor Degree level. Dunno where I'll be working at after this. Kuala Lumpur? Other states in Malaysia? Overseas? Oh, I cannot foresee~

P/S: Sorry not many pictures available for the time being. I wanted to scan some old pictures related to my entry, but all my old photos are neatly kept in a photo album, in Sabah.

TODAY. Finally my dad broke the news. He is confirmed for another transfer by the end of this year. He'll be posted to Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan. Hmm...can I say, another language barrier for me? Well, depends where I'll be working after internship then. If..IF....in PD, then yeah, another language barrier. I only know how to say "Ekau jangan nak membongak~". Thanks to Nabil Raja Lawak.

P/S/S: There's a lot more to share actually. But a blog will not be enough. I should write a book about it.

(Ain't gonna happen. Just saying~)

2012 MATRADE Intern Gathering

This is my third month in MATRADE already. And I love this place. I get to make friends a lot. Especially with the other Intern students (I know nobody here). It's like a must-meet-up every lunch break. To neutralize with my Unit colleagues, I'd sometimes take turns to eat lunch with them as well.

As of my Intern period here, there are students from UiTM and UUM only. So we bond quite well. The UUMs' were here one month before we (UiTM's) were here. And this is their last month here.

So we decided to make a dinner gathering, as well as a farewell dinner for the UUM's. At lunch breaks, we discussed on the venue. It's funny how everybody wants to give ideas. That place's near. This place's has good food. This..that...blablabla. And Amer proposed we had a Exchange Present session as well.

So finally we decided to eat at Chengal D'Garden Cafe in Setapak. We convoyed 4 cars after work.

So there was me, Lula, Siti, Visa, Farah, Airin, Teem, Wanie, Ana, Bella, Aina, Idz, Ammar and Amer. Too bad Ehsan and Fadila couldn't join us.

We talked. We ate. We laughed. We fight. We had fun together. It was a dinner filled with joy and laughter. Lula even managed to prepare a cocktail drink at the office and brought it along to dinner. Oh, it was also her birthday. She seems so happy! (Well, she should). Minus the tragic part at the highway.

Why don't we just enjoy the pictures (pictures tell a thousand words):

The Everybody. Too bad Ehsan n Fadila couldn't join us.

Bella smiling all ears.

The guys.

Lula and Tim..the excitement they cannot hide from.

Lula's cocktail.

Look what I got from Ana~ Book and choc: the best combination!

More pictures coming up.

We, the I.P.O.D-ers

Like I promised said in the previous previous previous post about me telling about my I.P.O.D classmates. (I.P.O.D is NOT the Apple iPOD). It stands for Ijazah Pengurusan Operasi Dungun (Bachelor in Operations Management in Dungun). Before you read on, I suggest you put on Perpisahan Ini by Aizat Amdan ft.1st Edition song. Just to get in the mood. And it's sorta have become our theme song. Well, here goes...

Tika. Shes the one and only person I know of when I first arrived here in Dungun (apart from Yutz, who returned to Sarawak after a month). Known her (and the boyfie) when I was in Sabah. We're JKP-ians (Jawatankuasa Kesenian Pelajar) when we were in UiTM Sabah. We're housemates from House no.1 (Rumah Kambing), 2 (Buyung)..and 3 (Sbelah warung Pok Long). She's always been the source for people seeking for advice. Likes dreaming of becoming a Muslimah model. Well, she's tall n slim, n she is a Muslimah. So why not? Tika, when stressed, likes to babble. Sometimes, she demotivate her own self. Saying she can't do this and that. She keeps telling people she ain't good at doing something, which I beg to differ. However, those made her more inspired and only showed people that she's capable of doing anything.

Cyla. Introduced by Tika. After I got out of the first home, it was her house that Tika and I moved in. This all-sem Dean-lister *salutes* is very hardworking. Not to mention real clever. Cyla is my room-mate in my 3rd home. She's a Twitter-freak. My movie-companion. My dancing partner. I like borrowing her Ujang, and she borrows my Gempakstarz graphic novels. She once thought Teh O Laici was weird, but I managed to make her like it (but still fails in attempt for Wheatgrass juice. Sigh). She's our Sambal chef whenever we crave for one. Oh, her husky voice is real sexy. Plus, there were few people who thought we were twins. Twins, really? And she's known for being Najwa Latif at Warung ABJ sebelah kubur (obviously unlike me). And we're both Pearl Tea craver. And crayyyzy over Jozan.

Ellie. Big eyes, flowery-headband and wavy hairstyle. That's her the first time I saw her. At the first class together, we automatically connect when the lecturer asked us to form a group. So from then on, until the last semester together, we'd be in the same group all along, together with Cyla and Tika. I sometimes call her Lion, cuz her hair may look like a lion's mane. Especially in the morning. LOL. The first time I heard her speak English, I was like, Daemm she's good. She's tall and slim-shady, a movie-freak and hate ants. Whenever I don't feel like driving to class, it is her car that I pooled in, and vice versa. Ellie always urged me to consult a psychiatrist every time I called myself fat. And that's everyday in case you didn't know.

Muni. This rockafella chica..well..rocks! Let's not imagine her being a softy, giggles politely, and being a quiet mouse. Cuz she obviously isn't. She's very open to sarcasm, take things as something fun and funny. And she calls me Kiah Propa. Sooo...not me. Oh Munir, Muni, u are one funny lady! Most of what she say makes me laugh. She also led me to workout at the campus's gym earlier this year. (But I only managed to stay for a month. And bet I'll fail if I had a workout subject to pursue).

Eyna. White rectangular spectacles. That's her. She always comment my speaking as if I'm presenting in front of an audience. "Yong, jangan buat presentation", and there I was talking about food. Eyna's a softie, very much manja-type but her laugh may defy the fact.

Yuyu. My Papa. And no, we're not what u imagine we are. We just like fooling around. Me calling her Papa, n her calling me Mama. LOL. I introduced her to Roti Tampal, which she loves now. Big fan of the Red Warriors. Attracted to guys with beards, yet she's faithful to her one and only.

Zaza. I liked her name; Zarith Sofea. The first time I saw her, she's very motherly..or maybe a big sister type. But hey, that's just my first P.O.V. Loves her husky voice too.

Fiza N. There's two Fiza in the class, so gotta put the surname initial to differentiate. She's one of the girl-next-door type of person. I once shared a tent with these two Fiza, so when speaking to one of them, i have to face the "Fiza" I intend to speak with.Oh, to differentiate, i call her Fiza Kelantan.

Nor. She may be petite, but she's a rockafella. I love her confidence when presenting in front of the class.

Wanie. She's also a girl-next-door type of person. She doesn't talk much, and she's very...ayu. Wanita Melayu Terakhir I'd say.

Ainaa. I used to call her Apeq, like everybody else, but she insist we call her with her real name instead; Ainaa. I've always respect her in whatever she does. She's a good sports-person, and ace in academic, and a good friend. We share heart-to-heart feeling sometimes. Awwww.. She's the person everybody looks for when it comes to academic, especially in exam preparation. She has always been prepared to help by tutoring me and other friends, and sharing her notes. I salute her for taking her personal time off to help her friends prepare for exams. I bet I couldn't do that.

Aliza. This Head Commander is also a fashionista. There's always a new fashion that she'd bring to class. Her favourite line "Haaaa....kan~?"

Tiq. This rockafella chic is always seen with her headphone on. Even if it means studying for tomorrow's exam papers. She loves wearing white pants, and shoes. Of all my friends I know of, she's d most brutal girlfriend for a boyfriend (which she already has). Kindda creepy at first knowing the fact.

Awie. She's one of the first few people I met when I arrived here in Dungun. Her signature clothes: black n white hooded jacket. She's seen to wear 'em every time. Especially during night classes and monsoon seasons. Or practically in normal classes (cuz classes can be friggin cold).

Wani. Her real name is nothing related to her nickname. I used to get confused with her name, especially when wanting to tag her on facebook. Cuz she uses her real name there. And I'd have to think before I mistakenly tag somebody else.

Peq. Somebody once mistakenly tag her picture on facebook with my name. (Can't remember who). I played the game at first..then I blurted out saying that it wasn't me. And they started telling we looked alike.

Nadia. Sometimes curly. Sometimes straightened. Err, I meant her hair. I call her Nad like everybody else. And since there's two Nad in class, we sometimes call her Nad rambut. Gahh..I don't know why we couldn't just call her Nadia, much a shorter name.

Aiza. She's the most secretive person I know of. I only found out where her hometown is in the second semester together. She's one of the brain lots. Very academic-hardworking type, and also a bit of the manja-type. I like her presentation skills. She always provide organized presentation slides (with contents!), and her English is real good too. One time, she was presenting about Air Asia, Ms Zu said that she suits to be Air Asia's spokesperson. (nak jadi Duta gak bleh?)

Nadz. We were housemates in our first home in Dungun. But we separated after there was a problem with the house. In our last semester in uni, she was our hope in helping to make copies of notes from lecturers etc.

Farrah. She's a dancer. She's a DJ. She's a singer. She's funny. She likes doing that 'gedik2' style which totally entertained me. And she always sulk for being fat (which she isn't. Just a psycho game playing in her head). In the first class with her, Prof Norudin called her Secretary.

Nurul. Where there is Farrah, there is Nurul, and vice versa. Whenever I want to spread a certain news, I'd usually text her to represent her other friends.

Mas. She's a Ganu-ian, and her accent is so original. You have to have a little exposure on the Pantai Timur accent to understand her.

Mira. She's petite and her Ganu accent is so original too.

Rina. She's the only girl in class that consistently wears tudung Indon/segera. Oh, with a pop-up flower too.

Akma. She has the same name as our OSH lecturer. (Okay, nothing related really).

Hana. The first time I saw Hana, i dont know why i thought she was one fierce lady. Which totally defies the assumption, after knowing her.

Syikin. We were once in the same group during our Issues in Operations subject presentation. We've never worked together before, yet TY said we make up a good team together. That was meaningful.

Eka. I didnt really had the chance to work together with Eka, but she was a good friend.

Eton. I didn't really get the chance to hang out with her often, but she was a good friend too.

Fiza A. a.k.a Fiza Pahang cuz she used to study in Pahang for diploma. Also a reason to differentiate with Fiza N.

Bella. We have the same real name, Nabila. It's a good thing we dont get confused by our nicknames, cuz it's so different. The only problem is, when our lecturers called our name to retrieve our marked test papers in class. We'd have to ask, "Which Nabila"? (Biasa la..nama femes-emes~)

Na. We once worked together for Research Methodology. Now we share the same advisor for Thesis research. We also used to be in the same group for presentation, and we were said to have a good team. (High five).

Nana. The first time I saw here, she was one of those person we'd call sweet and girl-next-door type. And she is. I only found out she was a talkative person when negotiating for a cheaper price during our trip to Indonesia mid this year. (Maybe I shud ask her to accompany me whenever i go shopping next time)

Min. Where there is Min, there is Nana. They're always together. She's older than some of us, but I never knew before I saw her IC number. And she barred us from calling her Kak Min. (Nak panggil gak..Kak Min~~)

Ecah. She may be the youngest in our I.P.O.D family, but she's a lot more matured than some of us. LOL. (Including me, I guess). And she's a real shopaholic. We shared the same room in Indonesia, and seeing her pack her stuffs to return back to Malaysia, I was stunned. She didn't shop for herself, but for her entire family. So thoughtful~ (Cepat2 kawen ngan Abe dehh)

Nora. Our Shila Amzah. Cuz her face is almost alike to the singer. And yeah, she's very photogenic. Oh, she  also melatah. Every time she melatah (sorry, no such term in English. Sounds really weird in an English sentence aite?), we get so entertained. And of course, most of the time we'd make her melatah again on purpose. (*cucuk pinggang*)

Wawa. One with a very strong self-esteem. I sometimes get lost in her words when she starts speaking real Kelantanese. This businesswoman is a verrry nice person. The first time I saw her, I concluded that she was one of those sweet, girl-next-door fashionista (she's very well dressed in fashion), but when I started hanging out with her, she talks a lot. I like seeing her do her loathe-face when regards to a matter she dislikes. (Dah jadi tunang orang dah Wawa kita ni. Syed, take good care of her! *serious face*)

Syed. The future husband of Wawa (now her fiance) is like our big brother. He's so concern with our welfare. He owns a photostat shop in campus. At times, we get to copy for free. I usually insisted to pay, but i failed over his nice words of not to. He's soo NOT stingy when it comes to money. He takes people out to eat. He's willing to pay for something using his own money for everyone's benefits. Not brother-ly enough? (Klau nk kawen habaq mai. Biaq jauh, at least Yong bleh prepare something un-physical. Ooops...terbocor)

Daing. Operations Management Society (OPEMS) president year 2011/2012. He seems to be the quiet-mice-type. Soft-spoken sort. Very calm in almost every situation.

Muqsit. He's always been the favourite of everybody. I mean, in a bully-sense. And he'd always give the same response like he never cared a thing. His trademark? Aku pulakk? Aku lagiiii? I seriously cannot forget his response when seeing insects. Shocked me the first time. But that's between me us and him. LOL. (Muqsit..Muqsit *geleng kepala*). Oh, and he can sing a Ziana Zain song! (Kau ada???)

Paan. Bully master/king/taiko. His favourite victim? Almost everybody. But I must say, Muqsit? He likes making fun of people. On the positive side, he's quick at identifying people's characteristics, and imitates them. (I wonder what he imitates me). At first, I didn't really understood his attitude, so I'm always pissed off. Then knowing he's d sorta guy, I blended in. He's a good friend tho.

Anas. Famously for his ( : ) in writing/commenting on facebook. This Maher Zain look-alike is well.....looks like Maher Zain. (not really actually. It's just his hat *evil laugh*)

Bai. Bai Amat Intelligent. At least that's what he called himself. The guys always make up names among themselves (unaware if they made names of me). Oh, and he was once caught by Mdm Nik for playing Kandang Lembu on his shirt with 'Arif (or was it not him? Can't remember who).

'Arif. Famously known for his marinated chicken. Although I cant really say so, cuz we just didn't have the time to gather everybody (i.e. Family Day) and allowing him to do all the BBQ settings just yet. Maybe next time I'll approve the statement. (As for now, let it just be a so-called statement).

Toi. Toi Orang Intelligent. His signature look? His baru-bangun-tidur hairstyle. Be it to class, games and dinner event. He was known as K-Pop by Ms Hajar (no idea why. Maybe his hairstyle? Na'ah). Oh, he also has a khaki-colored jacket with an Eagle-spread-wings design that he always wear, and i mean, always. For extra, he has a verrrry good voice, especially when singing songs that requires high level of tarik-tarik suara. He can totally nail it! (Toi jugak orang pertama kena denda nyanyi dlm kelas Mdm Nik. *korek2 file cari video tersebut*)

Adhan. or Adhang (with a g). Famously known for his 'Lajnah....mohon itu...mohon ini...' and 'Mu niokkk'. He likes speaking to me in his strong Ganu accent, and leaving me blurred. Then he laughs when i dont understand. He's also known for being a lipas kudung. Very evident during our 'Running Man' class activity. (Untunglaa kurus~)

Lela. Not really sure who found the name, but it became a chain after one person started calling him that. His other name (more proper name) is Duan with a 'g'. Don't ya'll forget. He has a really strong self-esteem. Let it be English or Indonesian language, you can easily know he's from Terengganu the moment he opens his mouth. And he's really confident with everything he does and speak. I can never forget how he pronounce Not Necessarily (as in Not Nessesaghilee)..so cute it tickled my bones. Lela is the person I seek for help at times when I want to go to the bus station (when my car or other friends' are not available).

Faiz. a.k.a Gaga among the guys. (Obvioulsy nothing related to Lady Gaga I hope).

Zul. He is the most relaxed person I know of. He acts cool to almost any situation, and just smile like nobody's business.

P/S: Dear I.P.O.D-ers, I'm sorry if any of the statements above affected you badly. I made this for fun, and for us to reminisce our friends' traits anytime. As much colorful our traits are, we make up the best group. We're the only ones who have a real cool class name in campus right? I.P.O.D-ers. *nose proudly high*

P/S/S: If there's anything I'm forgetting, and u want me to add here, DO TELL ME! I'd be honored to do so. Especially those funny ones. (Minus any nicknames/events u personally have with another, and has nothing to do with me. Cuz this is my blog, remember?)

Here are some pics of us. I intently chose pictures that are overly crowded by us. I mean, what's I.P.O.D without us all together?

Halfest 2012

Never heard it? Never been to one?

According to halal.com.my Halfest (Halal Fiesta) is an a mega consumer expo for Halal-certified products and services. It's a 5-day expo that showcases local Halal manufacturers and service providers to promote their products to the local consumers. Be it for Muslims or non-Muslims. Plus, it enhances business relationship between players in the industry. Apart from exhibitions, there are other activities offered i.e. cooking demo, quiz and games, celebrities' appearances, kids' activities etc etc. Halfest aims to nurture local
Halal SMEs into becoming a reputable global industry player and thus increasing the demand for Halal product worldwide. Also, it helps educate the public to be Halal-concerned in adopting a Halal lifestyle.

As for me, I was sooo...looking forward to Halfest...*drum roll*.....to shop! And get free food tastings. And take pictures with celebrities mascots. And shopping. Shopping. Shopping.

It's my first time going actually. So I didn't quite prepare myself financially. I've been to expos' before, but this seems a lil more worth it. Mainly cuz everything there is Halal-based. So, for us Muslims, it's totally worth every penny.

I haven't been a big user of Malaysian products. I always look down to many local products. But I've finally wronged myself. I regret every moment I look down on our hardworking locals. They can produce something I can't. How can I be so selfish? Well, it's done. I'm finally on my right path. I'm in love with our local products.

According to my free-food-tasting studies, everything I put into my mouth is heavenly-good. When I ask the producers whereabouts I can get their products, most of them will say it's only available at their production factory. They haven't marketed their products elsewhere, not even neighboring states. The least, would be in few Giant chain outlets (which I've never seen in my home area).

I made a lil shopping there. Like I said earlier, I wasn't prepared financially well. But I can happily said, I shopped with a big smile. Not to count those free-food-tasting activities that me, my brother and his friend did. *rubs happy tummy*.

My turn. To buy or not to buy?
Mister Potato and Mamee Monster.
I wish I could meet them in person.
I wish Halfest would come around every year more often. I propose it be held in every states in Malaysia! I can't say worldwide, cuz Halfest is focused for Malaysia companies only. We have the Malaysia International Halal Showcase (MIHAS) for the world version. That's gonna be held in next April in KLCC. And sorry to say, it's mainly for international buyers. Not for local public. So take advantage of this Halfest the next time it comes around. I know I would~

The Perodua Collision

And no..this is not some random story generated from my great geeky imagination. Nor is it the front-page story in today's paper headlines. It is based on a true story............. of me.

Woke up by the sound of my Back In Time alarm music. Took my shower. Performed Subuh prayers. Get dressed. Starts car. Switched radio frequency to Fly.fm. Seatbelts checked. A fresh new day on a fresh new date. Stopped by at BP to buy Cadbury chocolate milk, and here goes the day.

I've had everything planned out for today. Made a promise with friends to join in the badminton training at the office. Brought sports attire fully equipped at the back seat. And was planning to go to Halfest for the second time. Went to Halfest yesterday. I only managed to cover the 2nd floor of the expo, so I thought i'd leave the first floor expo for today. (Which didn't happen. Boo hoo).

Jalan Loke Yew is famously known for its traffic congestion. So there i was stucked in the morning crawl of busy city people in their busy life of work. At the Maharajalela Road (right beneath the Maharajalela Monorail Station), the crawl was even slower. There was a traffic light few meters away. So i pressed the brake pedal. And out of nowhere, CRASH! Instantly my mouth said, "Da Fuck?" (Pardon my language. But that's exactly the words that came out). Yes, a white MyVi from behind hit my car real bad. I drove a Kancil, and was at a save distance with the front Viva. (Well, it is written). No matter how hard i stepped on my brakes, I still hit the Viva. So now it's a threesome accident, with me stucked in the middle.

I got out the car, the MyVi driver got out, and so did the Viva driver. The Chinese lady driving the MyVi was apologising continuously, I felt sorry for her. She was mentally disturbed she said. It's her last day at work, and she really needs to get to work real fast. Well sorry lady, u ain't going anywhere fast. Not in the morning traffic! (I actually gave her a piece of mind). Considering we were on the right lane, and didn't want the traffic to get worse, we pulled aside to settle. The Chinese lady wanted to solve the situation quick. So she gave me RM300 as an advance. And promised to pay the remainder of the total damage done to my car later. So I took her details and everything (pictures are really important in such situation). The Viva wasn't badly damaged. It's just that her bumper got loosen a bit. She didn't blame me tho (probably after seeing my car was a real sore in the eyes). So she wanted the MyVi lady to pay up. (Which was agreed by both parties). *relief*.

So after settling the situation, everyone was calm, we agreed to go off. The MyVi lady was really bothered. I can't imagine what's waiting for her at her workplace. Considering the traffic was so bad, she decided to park her car at the roadside, and took the Monorail. The Viva lady gave me her namecard, and promised to keep in touch (related to the accident). It was 8.15am, I surely can't make it to work on time. And lemme remind u, my car was really in bad condition. It made a rattling noise every time the car moved. The bumper side was almost touching the tyres. The exhaust was loosed and was rattling so freakingly embarrassing. The plat numbers was wrecked apart. The bumper looked nothing like a bumper. So I decided to not go to work today. Instead, I went to settle the car. After calling my Supervisor at work, acknowledging him bout the accident and my off-day, I went back home.

Then I went to look for a workshop around Pandan Indah Industrial Park. And right I was, that's a heaven place for problematic cars. Asked the foreman about the cost, and he started calculating (by head). The cost to change a new bumper, tapping the dented body, replace new plat number, and repaint... RM850. *wide eyes*. Thank God, it ain't me who's paying. Then I went to the opposite shop selling car accessories, I ordered a new Kancil accesories to replace the broken one. Cost... RM55. So to sum up... RM905.

I called the MyVi driver telling bout the cost. With ease, she said she'll settle it by today. (I sort of scared her when I said that if she didnt want to settle by today, that I'd lodge a police report). And by noon, she banked-in the remainder (she gave me RM300 in advance already). So then I sent the car straight to the workshop, and will leave it there for a couple of days.

Anyhow, I'm thankful that I had no injuries. I felt full protection since I was wearing a seat belt on. I also didn't panicked when it happened. The process to repairing the damage was quick. Us ladies didn't argue nor fight. We settled verbally, and financially quite peacefully with mutual agreements.

I bet the MyVi lady was even more thankful that I drove a Kancil, and not some wealthy tycoon's car.

So now the only concern I have is; How am I to go to work after this? My cousin offered his car (since he uses his motorcycle to work), it's just that maybe I won't be driving to work with his car then. I'll go back to my usual routine. Go to work via public transport (which still requires me to drive alone to the LRT station nearby).

Here are some pics.

The Brutal Side of Me

Once upon a time, I was not like today.

When I was a kid, cartoons were my drug. I need 'em everyday. If I can't get Mickey Mouse, the Little Mermaid, Tom & Jerry...or Barney, I couldn't sleep well.

Apart from watching cartoons, my favourite TV shows were English and Chinese dramas and movies on TV (I spent my childhood days in Taiwan, so I was exposed to Chinese dramas very much). Ohh..I never got bored watching God Must Be Crazy. LOL-ed every time.

Apart from being all cute with cartoons and being dramatic with dramas...*drum roll*..I loved brutality. And no, I did not become brutal myself (i think). These were my favourite TV shows too:

Beavis and Butthead

I bet no parents will allow their kids to watch this. All the swearing and immoral behaviors these two pea-brains portray can influence a kids' mentality. I'd usually watch this after school on Star World (or was it MTV? Can't remember). I f u ask why I liked this cartoon, I'd say cuz they looked so cool.

Southpark Gang

These cuties are a bunch of swearing kids. Every time they swore, (rather than me swearing too), I laughed. That's why I loved this cartoon. Regardless of their violence. Poor Kenny, always the victim~

MTV Celebrity Deathmatch

I wonder why they dont have this show anymore. It's insanely hilarious. The cartoons are made of clay, and it's a wrestling match between celebrities. I still have this photographic memory of Britney Spears vs (err..forgot who). They wrestled so violently that Britney's leg was dislocated. But hey, it's a cartoon, so Britney connected her leg back with no problem.

Happy Tree Friends

Who wouldn't resist seeing these bunch of cutie pets?
Well, there are cute at first, until an arm starts to break, worst; dislocated..and the arm flies to his friend. A slap on the face, and an eye suddenly squirts out, and out of nowhere, brains flew from a head and hung on a tree. Blood here. Blood there. Scream here. Scream there.

Growing up and looking back at those times make me wanna be a kid again, where my biggest problem was to choose between watching cartoons or a movie, or choosing what color crayons to color the flower. But considering being in the new millennium, I think it's wise to not program these cartoons on TV. Be it personally kept for entertainment. To think again, even if adults watch this cartoon today, I fear the worse. People today can really be upsetting. Where have their humanities gone? Who's to blame? I hope not these cartoons.

Whatever you watch, listen...(anything absorb able around you), please please please be a sane person.  We don't want violence in this world! Why must there be issues on violence, cruelty, oppression etc etc.? We're still classified the same under God's creation; human. So act human, and be human.
