Glad i opted for the Student Exchange Program to UiTM Sarawak

To recall back, i'm glad i had the experience. The first time i saw the Student Exchange Program ad on the notice board..i was already excited. I didn't want to go alone, so i seek friends who were also interested.

Woohoo..found them. Rasnah and Ikhlas. So it was the three of us. Then we urged Tim to apply too. She wanted to, but.... Okay, she was 50-50. And we were like urging her, telling her how beneficial it was. We even offered to send in her forms for her. In the end, she lossed. Hehehe, sorry Tim. You're coming with us!

The first day we set foot in UiTM Kota Samarahan in July 2009, we weren't really that excited. Of course, we haven't ventured the place yet. So everything for us was; boring. It took some time for us to fit in. Probably weeks, i think. After meeting friends, hah, we're fitting in well already. Our classmates were friendly. They offered to bring us around Kuching. Our room-mates were fun and crazy for sure. Regardless of their 'junior status'. They forced us to learn Sarawakian. They said, "What's the use of being in Sarawak, and not be able to speak like one?". So everyday, they'd talk to us in Sarawakian. So thanks to them, for 5 months in Sarawak, i've managed to understand them, and even speak Sarawakian. A bit lahh~. 

Sarawakian, as compared to speaking in Sabahan language, is a lot harder. This is because most of the Sarawakian words are truly transformed into something totally different. Say for example"

Saya:   Saya (Sabah),      Kamek (Sarawak)

Awak:  Kamu (Sabah),    Kitak (Sarawak)

Tidak:  Ndak (Sabah),     Sik (Sarawak)

Tiada:  Ndakda (Sabah)   Sikda (Sarawak)

and many more...

Apart from the language, we were also shocked that in UiTM Sarawak, we were allowed to wear short sleeves in campus. And not wearing a matric card is no big deal. I mean, this is UiTM i'm talking about. 

Huh, trying applying those in UiTM Sabah. You'd only be collecting 'love letters' from the Pak Guards. Summons.

The best part though, the foods there are cheap. For RM4, u'd get a rice, a dish (chicken/meat), vege, and a drink. So worth it~ The campus facilities are simplified. The Youth Corner is the best part. There's a pond in the middle, with an open-ceiling. And when it rains, it goes into the pond. Great architectural design.

Proud to become a member of UiTM Sabah

Suddenly i felt like talking about my previous university, UiTM Sabah. 


I'm actually missing the place. I miss having to wake up 1 hour before class. Fight for the best shower. Get dressed, and wait for the bus to go to class. You see, UiTM Sabah is very special. Due to the geographical factors, students are provided with buses to go to class from college. Whilst other universities (mostly) would walk). We are so spoiled~

Ye..bisnes tak sehebat, tak se-gah bidang akaun, sains, dan kejuruteraan. Jauh sekali medik. 

Tapi, tahukah anda? Bidang perniagaan adalah suatu bidang yang sangat dikagumi oleh masyarakat luar? Maksud aku di sini, kat negara Barat tu hah. 

Bila tanya kos apa?

Dengan bangganya, "business". Sambil hidung yang dah sedia mancung tu didongakkan ke langit. 

Aku tak rasa intimidated langsung jadi budak DBS. Apatah lagi bila dengar yang bisnes ni adalah suatu kos yang kategori hebat kat luar negara, aku pun try la mancungkan hidung ni. (Tapi tak mancung2 gak). -_-'

Ye la, aku mana ada bakat bisnes. Aku ni jenis yang, "Kak, beli la. Buy 3 free 1"........*cricket sound*

"Taknak sudah". 

Dalam situasi begini, aku spatutnya try pujuk ye dak? Ni idak. Aku penyegan. Malu. "Ala, dah orang taknak beli. Nak buat camne?". Yong..Yong..Sigh~

So skang aku tengah try la nak minat kat bidang bisnes ni. Nama je budak bisnes, tapi hampeh tak tau menahu kejadah bisnes. Sampai ke peringkat ijazah pun dok sambung bisnes. Tak ke rugi namanya? Bertahun2 blaja, patutnya praktikkan. 

Ok la bos..dengan ini, saya Yong ingin cuba meminati dan mempraktikkan apa yang dah aku blaja masa Dip dulu, sehingga la ke ijajah ni. 

Ohh...aku ada terbaca kat SINI pasal Top 5 In-Demand Degrees. Pasal kos2 universiti yang menjadi rebutan para pencari pekerja zaman kini. 

Woot2...Business is in the list mann..

"Ala Yong, stakat jadi budak bisnes, tapi illek ilmu nya watpe?"

Okay..i get it. 

One advice, do what u love doing. It makes a whole lot of difference. Have passion in it.

Only then will things go your way. 

P/S: And because i didn't have passion for Managerial Economics, i didn't feel at ease answering the final paper this morning. Pffftttttttt.......
